The purpose of my design aims to follow my manifesto: to create a space that is functional on a multiple scale and engaging for the community, generating a new type of economic prosperity, but also become a landmark for Deptford.
The project will become a hub for recycling glass, a workshop to educate kids, about the process of making and the use of this material. There will also be a space for the production of items, with an option to create an area for selling and exibiting.
The prime concern is to design a landmark building - standing out of the surrounding context, differentiating from the historic background of the site and integrate a diverse type of pure forms in an attempt to follow a clear and defined reasearch of appropriate materiality.
