A seasonal meeting place for passers by, citizens waiting for transport, or the general public. The area uses currently wasted space in a way that changes depending on the time of the year, different needs, and different customer profiles.
A void is a dark, empty and lifeless space. A series of small scale lightinging interventions, tactically placed across the site, encourage and redirect the population towards these voids, creating a living environment, even if only for a moment or so.
The project investigates existing local, social and material conditions in the public realm for a study area in Lewisham, London.
