The Observation Tower acts as a gateway to Deptford High Street. A ramp continues from the old carriage ramp to the street creating a new public area and walkway from Deptford railway station. From the tower itself the intriguing phenomena of life is framed. On an urban scale the cladding frames views of the area and the city whilst the building acts as a spatial reference within its surroundings.
