INTERACTION

Continuing the key aspects of 'The Cross Weave Project' from semester one, season community activities are interweaved into this project. Due to the seasonal nature of the cycles of growing plants and vegetables it was relevant to apply the different aspects of activities and processes within the building at a level where the community could be involved. The community space was introduced in order for members of the public to exchange and trade in ideas, products and knowledge and in turn to encourage the concept of self sufficiency at a residential level and throughout the urban community. An atrium space in the restaurant allows interaction to flow from the kitchen to the restaurant to the greenhouse through the use of open spaces and windows.
