This installation looks to generate a well-connected, permeable and legible movement network based upon recorded routes through space found within surround infrastructure. To do this I have used surface to generate different qualities of movement and hence control the speed of the user. The movement network will connect Deptford High Street, Deptford Market and the Train Station (via the carriage ramp) thus generating a unique tactile relationship that encourages people to engage with the architecture. It is also important to note the unique composition of material (mainly the large water tanks) that offer a light quality exclusive to Deptford, which in turn adds value to the area.
