BRIEF

It is my intention to design a space for calming down, slowing operating speeds, and self reflection. The project will become a centre for communal experiences sonically in the form of sound chambers designed to harness and subdue external conditions. It is hoped that these experiences will become the currency through which people can communicate with each other on the streets, nourishing an active and responsive district through a transcendence and loss of ego - inspiring people to loose themselves and connect to the world in new ways on an everyday level. The building will house a Monastery and shelter for the homeless connecting to a self sustained allotment/garden behind; all managed and maintained by five live in Monks.
